COMPETITION DETAILS

The Peregian Springs Veteran Golfers are affiliated with the Sunshine Coast District Veteran Golf Association. Home competitions are played every Monday, however on 11 occasions each year we play an away game with one of the other affiliated clubs.
Membership is open to Playing Members of Peregian Springs Golf Club or affiliated members from Aveo Country Club who are playing members of a golf club. New members must hold an official AGU handicap.. A minimum age of 55 applies.  There are currently 131 members of "the vets" at our club. Annual Membership to join the vets is $10. Tee time is 8.30 each week and registrations close at 8.10 am sharp. We play a shotgun start so all players arrive back at the clubhouse at the same time for socialising and the presentations. Competition Fees are $10 per game and intending players must have previously included their name on the competition sheet in the Mens Locker room. For home games a draw for partners is conducted on the day before each event. For visiting and hosting days this draw is done a week earlier.
At the end of each year, a Christmas Party for members and partners is hosted at the Golf Club. Should numbers wishing to attend exceed the capacity of the club, priority is given to those members who have given the most support to the vets during the year by playing the most number of games.

OUR 200 CLUB

Former Club Captain, Glen Martin was recently recognised as the first player to have played 200 games with the Vets.

He is shown here proudly wearing the first 200 Club cap.
